Welcome to D.C. Weekly Vlog N°4, where we spend a lot of time exploring Georgetown!
Life in D.C.
I’ve lived in Washington, D.C. for almost 4 years now. While I don’t claim to be an expert like some (rare) natives to the city, I love sharing what life in D.C. is like, and my favorite places to explore! Georgetown: Hair Salon
In this episode, we spend a lot of time in Georgetown! This is a classic D.C. neighborhood, full of restaurants, shopping, activities, and events. I’m in Georgetown at the start of this vlog for a hair appointment. For 3 years I have gone to Zak at Aveda Georgetown. One time, my friend stopped me and said, “Elisabeth, you get your hair done in Georgetown — take a moment to soak that in. That’s a big deal! Olivia Pope would get her hair done in Georgetown!”
Georgetown: Restaurants
In this vlog, we go into several restaurants. We spot Cafe Georgetown, a wonderful pillar in D.C. restaurants. I went there for tea on my 24th birthday (click here for the whole D.C. birthday itinerary). Enjoy a coffee, tea, pastry, or drink there! My friend Rachel and I have dinner at Clyde’s which is a D.C. staple! The cozy tavern feel and comfort food was exactly what we needed after shooting around the Lincoln Memorial at sunset! We were freezing! However, before we got dinner, we got dessert! You join us in the vlog as we go to Laduree for macarons as we wait to be seated at Clyde’s. These restaurants are just 3 of the countless places to eat in Georgetown. Head to the pinned highlights on my Instagram for more D.C. recommendations! There are 4 highlights full of things to do within a life in D.C.!
